West Wales Foraging Weekend 2018

We would like to invite you to a foraging foray around the beautiful grounds of the Glynhir Estate.

The weekend runs from Friday the 6th of April to Sunday the 8th with a two-course evening meal and time to settle into your accommodation. On Saturday you’ll start the day with a cooked breakfast and then an introduction to foraging by either Marlow or Eric, seasoned foragers in their fields from Wild Food Uk.

Entrance to our grounds.

You will then go off to explore our lovely grounds, 220 acres of woodland, rivered gorge, fields and gardens. The foraging walk will take 2-3hrs with a break to sample some ready-made wild foods.

Our delightful woodlands.

The evening will finish with a meal that you will prepare from the wild foods you have collected on your outing. The rest of the evening is yours for socialising, exploring or relaxation in our peaceful surrounds.

Sunday will start with a cooked breakfast and then an afternoon creating a wild food jam to take home with you.

So come and see what there is to eat on and around our local area, you will make new friends and meet people with common interests.

The cost of the weekend is £175 per person cottage accommodation and £185 for a mansion house room with en-suite. Why not bring a friend? Some of our cottage rooms are twins. You will both need to book separately and just let us know after you have booked via our contact page that you would like to share a room with a friend, so we can reserve the right room for you.

Comfortable rustic accommodation providing simple pleasures.

There are five available rooms in the house so book early if you wish to reserve an en-suite. All cottages have shared bathroom facilities except for one of our cottages which has one room available with an en-suite.
